The Amazon Basics 52-inch long cross rail roof rack is designed to fit most cars, SUVs, or crossovers with raised longitudinal rails. The gap between the rail and the car roof must be at least 1/2 inch (1.3cm), and the distance between the outer edges of the two rails must be between 38.6 inches (98cm) and 46 inches (117cm). The diameter of the rail must fall within 1.4-2.1 inches (36-55mm). Vehicle fit can be found in the Product Description below.

Installation of rubber sealing strips into the roof racks, as outlined in paper UM or DP video, can help reduce wind noise. The rubber sealing strips are included in the product packaging. The heavy-duty aluminum crossbars offer a strong, lightweight construction that is resistant to corrosion and can support up to 165 pounds.

The roof rack is easy to install with rubber-coated steel clamps that provide superior grip and protect against damage. Additionally, there is a built-in locking system on the roof crossbars to prevent theft.

Please note that it is not recommended to install the crossbars on cars with closed rails that have no gap between the rail and the car roof. This is because the rail cannot be fully wrapped around by the clamp of the crossbar, which can lead to instability and potential hazards. Cars like the 2020 Benz GLC and 2020 BMW X3 fall into this category.
